DRIVING: that's what it's ALL ABOUT! A blog and website for automotive driving enthusiasts, featuring my interests as I see them: news and opinion about manufacturers of interest, significant enthusiast cars, and driving them hard and well.
Other than the news that the Challenger won't be exported (too big for European roads), and that an SRT-8 version will follow sometime after production (duh!), there hasn't been any solid news from Chrysler about the Challenger. They certainly have more important business to discuss in the press at the moment. The final production debut is expected at the 2008 Chicago auto show in February so the news will be very quiet until then.
However, the good folks over at leftlanenews have compiled just about every known spy shot of the car into a single blog entry here: http://www.leftlanenews.com/dodge-challenger-future.html - and the best news is that the car looks exactly like the show car did in silhouette (there are some minor changes, and those will be the object of endless speculation for the next 5 months). Chrysler has a winner on it's hands... even if the car is more than a bit on the large side of the market.
This picture made the rounds a few weeks ago of Angelina Jolie crashing thru the windshield of a Viper. Presumably giving the escaping bad guy the kick of death - although if that fails she also has a sawed-off. Hopefully this one leaked picture doesn't give away the ending...
The movie Wanted is currently scheduled for next March. The date may change if the movie really sucks... or may move forward if it looks good. Right now, it's a pure action plot. And I have the idea that boyfriend Brad Pitt's remake of Bullet will also suck... it's a movie that should not be made: Brad is certainly not even a 10th of 1 percent of Steve McQueen.
