Honda Racer is not the new S2000!

Honda Designer Guillermo Gonzalez recently spent 3 months designing this new "Honda Racer" Hot Wheels model to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of Hot Wheels. Several other automakers also designed similarly wild models; each will sell for about $3.

Note that this 20 liter (twenty!) 2400-HP V10-engined prototype with 32-inch wheels out back and 22 in the front would indeed make a fine "S20000". The envisioned 300 MPH top speed would put a complete and total end to those GT-R lap times at the Nurburgring... making them look little different from a those of a Stanza.

But unfortunately it's not to be. We heard that Honda discovered that there would be a liability issue with the driver and/or passenger getting sucked out of the car as it nears it's completely illegal top speed. Presumably, experimentation with various wind deflectors didn't solve the problem this time...
