… in Australia?
Based on this story, it looks like it is true: http://www.caradvice.com.au/32633/2010-fpv-gt-supercharged-v8-coyote-spied/
And as the article says, it’d be fast – we’re guessing to the tune of around 550 HP.
Question is, is the engine stock internally? This is unlikely, since the ultra-high compression ratio of the Coyote wouldn’t allow much in the way of boost, and of course it could use better rods and pistons to withstand the boost. However, Ford of Australia has been building it’s own 5.4 liter DOHC V-8 for several years, so they already have the facilities in place to build this engine the right way.
You have to hand it to the Australians… they know how to have fun.
Now, Ford of North America, where’s our rear wheel drive sedan? And make it and the mustang share a chassis with an IRS, please. No more of this embarrassing wagon cart suspension, please.
