Subraru BRZ: 147 MPH on the Autobahn

Here’s a new BRZ owner who demonstrates that the BRZ will do 147 MPH… and it’s on video. Or at least the speedo and tach are… whether this actually took place on the Autobahn as claimed or not is open to question. Why? Because the owner has a Valentine 1… and why would you need that on the speed limit free Autobahn? This video may actually have been made right here in the US of A.

In any case, you can see that the BRZ reaches its top speed under whatever conditions they are just below its horsepower peak. No surprise and not bad, certainly better than the milquetoast Miata (-33 HP) and somewhat lower than the 160+ the S2000 (+47 HP) would do under the same conditions.
