Ford Mustang GT (2003)
The Mustang GT concepts (coupe and convertible) were built to introduce the upcoming 2005 Mustang and were introduced to the public at the 2003 NAIAS show (although photos were leaked and caught by spy photogs before the official introduction). The concepts were built on Ford Thunderbird platforms, which is ironic because the production car was originally intended to use this platform and only Ford’s money issues prevented it. Somebody inside the company had the last laugh with these concepts – they remain the most sophisticated Mustangs ever built. IMHO, these two Mustangs are far better looking than the production 2005 or 2010 restyle.
