Jensen Harris of Microsoft continues to have the best blog of the company. Jensen focuses on Office 2007... he writes clearly, loves his topic, and his blogs are very worthwhile for all Office users (and offer an invaluable preview on Office 2007).
But in this post he talks about a tourist diversion on a recent trip to London: the longest escalator in Western Europe (the "tube" escalator at the Angel station on the Northern Line - nine stories high).
I've been there myself, for the same exact purpose, also while in London on a software promotion gig. Although the trip where I took the big escalator ride was followed by a trip to Copenhagen, not preceeded.
