< Sunday, April 01, 2007     2008 S2000 CR - not for Canada     According to an article in the Toronto Star http://www.thestar.com/Wheels/article/195093 , the Canadians won't be getting the 2008 Honda S2000 CR model - "at least for 2008". The special-edition club racer S2000 will apparently be sold only in Japan and the United States. The 2008 S20000 CR is notable for several reasons beyond just the unspecified enhancements - it signals that production continues in 2008. That was previously thought to be unlikely given the severely declining sales in 2007. And note the wording of the article from Canada - it also implies that production will continue beyond 2008. We'll know more on April 4th when the car debuts at the New York show. Anything before then is pure speculation - but it is becoming clear that the car will continue in production for a short period of time. Honda wouldn't be making the effort of suspension, body, and engine enhancements for only 1 year of production.
