What lucky folks! The Car Connection gets to test drive the Challenger concept.
Keep in mind that this is only a concept car – a one-off. Despite what you read it’s still a concept – NOT a prototype. It’s not even a prototype or an engineering mule. Just a showcar – built for looks only.
The pictures in the article were all staged. This and several other magazine “tests” are part of a campaign to keep the Challenger image alive in the eyes of potential buyers… and even more importantly the press and industry analysts. This is simple pre-production marketing and promotion of the corporation, and that’s what you do before your product goes on sale. I’ve been there and done that myself many times in the past.
A much more accurate drive can be taken by anybody in a Charger, 300, or Magnum.
