We’ve enjoyed following the “flip” of a 1989 SHO over at Winding Road – it’s a duplicate of our own original 1989 SHO right down to the color and interior.
Today they published Part 4, in which the SHO gets it’s rusty quarter panel fixed, and some alarming smoke comes out of the wiring in the steering column. Not good! But a great series to follow: http://www.windingroad.com/articles/blogs/flip-this-car-1989-ford-taurus-shopart-four/

Our own SHO didn’t have any rust on it, it was a Texas car. But it did have just about every other possible problem. And we think there was some sort oif wiring harness recall applied at some point… now we wish we’d saved all the repair record.
